    Mediterranean flair at the Intergastra

    From 1 to 5 February 2014, METRO Cash & Carry Germany presented itself at the renowned hospitality fair Intergastra in Stuttgart. The focus was on the new Mediterranean product range of METRO Cash & Carry as well as on specialties from the areas of wine, fish and meat. 
    Matching the new assortments the trade fair stand was designed as a Mediterranean piazza. On the colourful market place, METRO Cash & Carry Germany provided insights into its premium offering and invited the trade fair visitors to taste the products. In addition to exclusive specialties from the meat and fish assortment the visitors also had the opportunity to taste around 40 high-quality wines from the "House Wine" range and other products.

    Further highlights were presented by the participants of the renowned cooking championship "Bocuse d'Or Germany" that was hosted in the framework of the trade fair. As a premium partner, METRO Cash & Carry Germany supports the German delegation of master chefs on their road to the international finals of the Bocuse d'Or in Lyon. The eight talented chefs had five and a half hours' time to prepare their dishes live in front of the trade fair audience. 
    The winner of the competition was Christian Krüger from the restaurant Axt in Mannheim who will now be the ambassador of German haute cuisine in the next round of the contest, the "Bocuse d'Or Europe" in Stockholm.
